Hi there! I’m Meg and I am a freelance illustrator based in Japan. I spent much of my time growing up doodling (mostly on my math notes) and pouring over picture books at my school library where I found my love for art. At 8 years-old, Pixar's The Incredibles launched me into the magical world of animation and visdev, igniting my passion to become an artist. During the weekend, I’d spend hours designing worlds and characters, all with my trusty 2B pencil. In high school, I taught myself digital art and at 19, established my own business in illustration while attending college in Hawaii. Over the years, in the most miraculous ways, my path has crossed with some of the most talented creatives working in animation, and I have been blessed to receive mentorship by artists I admire. I am now back in Japan working in aviation by day, and then as an illustrator by night, collaborating with clients worldwide, creating artwork for books, packaging, animation, and editorial. Most recently, I worked with Scholastic, as well as Albert Whitman & Co. to illustrate Lisa Rogers’ book Hound Won't Go. I look forward to working with you and creating artwork to help bring your ideas to life!
